Prof. Papadakis obtained her B.S./M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 2011. Her master thesis was a study of broadband plasmonic structures for datacom applications, conducted in the Photonics Communication Research Laboratory of NTUA. From 2011 to 2012 she worked in the area of radio frequency linear particle accelerators at CERN, Switzerland. Georgia joined the department of Applied Physics in Caltech in 2012 and received her PhD in 2017. She is currently a professor of Thermal Photonics at ICFO in Barcelona, Spain.
