Dr. Zachary Schiffer joined the Atwater group in September 2021. Zachary received his B.S.E. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Princeton University in 2016 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT in 2021. In his graduate research, Zachary focused on developing electrochemical routes for nitrogen cycle reactions. In the Atwater lab, he is exploring photoelectrocatalyst development for selective nitrogen reduction. When not in the lab, Zachary enjoys running, exploring local restaurants, and relaxing with a book.

He is now an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard.
